In this episode, we sat down with Howard Dieter, Vice President - Environmental, Health & Safety and Strategic Energy Initiatives at Jonah Energy. A leading voice in methane emissions management and a driving force behind Jonah Energy’s pioneering approach to methane and GHG reduction. From embracing continuous emissions monitoring (CEMS) to layering technologies like OGI, aerial flyovers, and satellite data, Howard shares the operational and philosophical shifts required to meet international expectations, and why transparency, accuracy, and agility are now non-negotiable.

Howard also offers candid advice for operators just starting their methane journey, reflects on regulatory alignment, and shares his perspective on the impact of the EU import standard - including insights from his participation in EU industry roundtables, what he’s learned from those discussions, what he sees as the path forward, and how US operators can begin preparing for the regulatory and commercial implications.
