The Oil & Gas Methane Partnership 2.0 (OGMP 2.0) is the United Nations Environment Programme’s flagship oil and gas reporting and mitigation programme. It is the only comprehensive, measurement-based reporting framework for the oil and gas industry that improves the accuracy and transparency of methane emissions reporting. This is key to prioritising methane mitigation actions in the sector, allowing them to track and compare progress and performance across companies.

In this episode of Methane Talks, we are joined by Giulia Ferrini, OGMP 2.0 Programme Manager. Giulia works with the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) to provide coordination and strategic support to an international facility aimed at facilitating climate technology transfer to developing countries. She also supports the development and scaling-up of a multi-stakeholder partnerships committed to accelerate efforts to reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants.

Listen as she shares the key methane mitigation commitments to come out of COP28 and how the OGMP 2.0 can help operators honor these commitments.
