OMV Petrom, the largest integrated energy company in Southeastern Europe, has made significant strides in reducing its methane footprint—achieving a 72% reduction in methane emissions and an 11% reduction in carbon intensity compared to 2019. With a commitment to further reduce carbon intensity by 30% by 2030, the company is deploying a diverse set of abatement strategies across its operations.  However, methane abatement is no longer a single-technology challenge. It requires a toolbox of solutions tailored to operational realities which will be explore within this session.
