The Permian has demonstrated what methane leadership looks like at scale, with many large operators achieving significant emissions reductions through investment in measurement, technology and operational excellence. Yet as basin-wide inventories become more consistent, attention is increasingly turning towards the role of smaller and marginal operators, which may account for a disproportionate share of remaining emissions.
The challenge facing industry is how to reduce emissions across the entire basin without simply abandoning marginal assets or removing accountability altogether. This session explores how operators, technology providers and industry initiatives can work together to share data, best practices and practical solutions that support methane reductions at every level of the industry.
