Lauren Drumm is a Senior Environmental Engineer at New Jersey Natural Gas, where she focuses on greenhouse gas emissions reporting and environmental permitting compliance for the company. A graduate of Duquesne University, she started her career in environmental consulting, providing compliance support primarily to oil and gas operators in the Marcellus Shale region. Prior to coming to New Jersey Natural Gas, she was a regulator for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, primarily focused on land resource protection. Since starting at NJNG, she has supported many of the company’s decarbonization and sustainability initiatives including methane mitigation technology, advanced leak detection, and low carbon fuel sources.
· Design internal structures that foster cross-functional alignment & comms between operations, ESG, legal, and executive leadership
· Build dedicated methane taskforces to drive communication, accountability, and continuous education across teams
· Secure senior leadership sponsorship and operational buy-in to embed methane goals into daily decision-making
· Elevate data literacy across departments to support accurate emissions tracking, reporting, and mitigation efforts
· Develop feedback loops and communication pathways that turn methane management into a living, evolving process
