TRACK B: Methane Reduction and Prevention

11:50 am - 12:20 pm Case Study: Decarbonization via Hydrogen/NG Blending: Case Study from a Midstream Oil and Gas Engine Compressor

Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline took the important step to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050 by field testing one of the legacy units to run on hydrogen-natural gas blend. The session will highlight in detail:

● Successful testing of blended fuels up to 30% hydrogen

● At different engine sweeps, hydrogen has a significant influence on reducing the unburned hydrocarbons (UHC), Methane Slip (CH4), Carbon Dioxide (CO 2 ), and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), a reduction of up to 35% compared to the baseline

● Hydrogen was found to favorably improve combustion performance due to its high flame speed, small quenching distance and wide flammability limits

2:40 pm - 3:30 pm Solution Insight Session and Afternoon Networking Break

Branded as “the best networking session I’ve ever attended” by a number of past Summit delegates, this structured networking session is the ideal opportunity for you to capitalize on time out of the office by speaking to each of our event partners and learning about the solutions available to your specific challenges. How does it work? It’s easy. You spend seven minutes at a partner of your choice, and when the bell rings you’ll be directed to the next one to start another round of networking. At the end of the session, you’ll have met a selection of top tier solution providers, and if you haven’t, you can continue into the networking cocktail reception at the end of the day.

● Identifying the right combination of technologies that will work for your organization

● Emerging technologies including drones, aircraft, satellites, vehicle systems, and continuous sensors
