Pre-Conference Workshop Day: Tuesday 24th February

9:45 AM Workshop F: TotalEnergies’ Methane Permanent Monitoring Project: Scaling Real-Time Detection Across 15 Countries

TotalEnergies is pioneering a comprehensive monitoring Project deploying approximately 14,000 IoT and infrared sensors across 15 countries on their operated assets. This initiative integrates data from diverse technologies into a centralized and deciated methane data monitoring center to enable real-time alerts and proactive emissions management, complementing traditional spot measurement methods. Attend to:

    • Understand the selection, deployment, and integration of diverse methane detection technologies at an unprecedented scale
    • Explore the design and operational goals of the centralized data monitoring center, including its role in enhancing response times and emissions tracking
    • Discuss challenges and solutions in managing large-scale sensor data and the development of in-house data systems
    • Share insights on collaboration with technology partners and the potential for expanding monitoring to non-operated assets
