Dr. Thomas Roeckmann

Professor of Atmospheric Physics and Chemistry Utrecht University

Prof. Dr. Thomas Röckmann is director of the Institute for Marine and Atmospheric research Utrecht (IMAU) of Utrecht University in the Netherlands and leads the Atmospheric Physics and Chemistry at that institute. His research focusses on the investigation of global and regional budgets of greenhouse gases and other trace species using isotope characterisation and in-situ measurements. He has coordinated several large scale projects on methane detection, quantification and attribution in the past years, from upstream to downstream emissions.
