Sean has held senior sustainability roles with Walmart, Vi-Jon, Waste Management, City of Alexandria, VA, American Chemistry Council (ACC) and currently is the Director of Commercial & Sustainability for Occidental Chemical Corporation (OXY), focusing on the development and implementation of the sustainability strategy across the organization. Sean recently led the implementation of the ACC sustainability strategy for the chemical industry through development of sustainability metrics, circular economy advocacy and communication platform. He was instrumental in leading Walmart’s early sustainability strategy, goals and initiatives. Sean is currently focusing on emerging ESG issues regarding carbon emissions, water stewardship and energy reduction technologies. Sean currently resides on several committees with the Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW), Vinyl Sustainability Council (VSC), American Chemistry Council (ACC) and Green Building Initiative (GBI). Sean holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Biology and a Master’s of Science degree in Bio-Chemical Engineering & Biology. Sean is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and a certified ENVISION Sustainability Professional.
